To the editor: The recent “incident” on Elm Lane was terrible, and I’m sure everyone in Barrington would be appalled to have this happen to their home; it is a nightmare with which anyone can empathize.
Parents need to be parents, not friends

To the editor: Making judgments as outsiders is very easy and very popular as is the case of the Barrington High School girls hockey team. We all read the paper and rush to judgment based on the information we are provided. Usually the more incendiary the judgment, the more press it gets and the more prejudice it creates. We often forget that very few of us have all the facts.
Offering support for superintendent candidate
To the editor: Over the last four nights, my husband and I have watched all four superintendent interviews, something we have never done before. By the end of each interview, it was possible to see how each candidate was different from the other. The first candidate, Dr. McKersie, was strong on theory but short on real life examples demonstrating how he would function as our superintendent.
Honorable course is to forfeit state title
To the editor: I know that at least one of the three girls who instigated the break-in, home invasion, stealing and vandalism at the home on Elm Lane is on the Barrington girls’ ice hockey team.
