— Barrington Community Theatre will present its first age-diversified production, “It’s A Wonderful Life” this weekend and next.

The show will take the stage on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 and 7 p.m., and also Friday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1 and 7 p.m. at the Barrington Library. The tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.

The script follows very closely to the Capra-directed 1940s movie starring Jimmy Stewart. The cast of about 50 range in age from 8 to 80, and includes many members of the Barrington community, including a cameo appearance Barrington Town Manager Peter DeAngelis.

The play is directed by Joel Hellmann; it will be his final show after running the program for 10 years. Many former students of the program have come back to act in this project.

Tickets are being sold in advance and can be purchased from Joel Hellmann at rehearsals at the library this week or in the town manager’s office.

Since it is being held at the Barrington Public Library, a smaller auditorium, all shows are expected to sell out. Buying tickets early is strongly suggested.
