— ArtsAlive! and the Nayatt School PTO present Peter Pan this weekend at Barrington High School. The production, directed by Dena Davis, will combine the talents of 141 elementary school students in a 120-minute version of the classic tale.

First-, second- and third-graders have been rehearsing for the past 15 weeks, sometimes twice a week, and will finally take the stage in three performances on Friday and Saturday.

“This is out third year at Nayatt, and although we are pretty good at managing a large group of children, this is the most ambitious yet. The children are doing a great job and as always, everything comes together the closer we get to curtain,” Mrs. Davis said.

In 2010, Ms. Davis and Kimberly Durkin, a professional costume designer formed Barrington Arts Alive!, directed “Willy Wonka, kids” at Nayatt School, “How to Eat Like a Child” at Hampden Meadows, and “Hot Lunch” at Sowams School.

Later this year they will produce “One Hundred and One Dalmations” at Sowams School and “Bugsy Malone” at Hampden Meadows.

Tickets for Peter Pan are available at the Nayatt school office, 400 Nayatt Road or online at artsalivebarrington@cox.net
