She launched a bridal and couture business while still a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has an impeccable eye for detail and her signature designs include intricate hand beading, crochet and detailed adornment.
Fashionistas flock to see local and world designers strut their stuff at the Providence Biltmore this week. On Thursday night, Candice Wu of Hong Kong brought her "Esoteric" designs to the Providence Biltmore ballroom. A Boston School of Fashion Design graduate, Miss Wu's designs were inspired by a mixture of cultural influences, especially her traditional Chinese parents and grandparents, blending traditional elements with modern ideas to create her functional and artistic pieces. Also Fashion designer Karen Sabag's Fall/Winter 2012 collection featuring soft, elegant and sexy gowns graced the ballroom as well. The designer launched a bridal and couture business while still a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her designs include intricate hand beading, crochet and detailed adornment.
