Carlo M. Vollaro, Sr., died at home on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Mr. Vollaro was born in Barrington and moved to Ft. Pierce 10 years ago.
He was a deacon at The First Congregational Church of Port Saint Lucie, member of the local American Legion, and he proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church of Port Saint Lucie, 2401 SE Sidonia St., Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952.
Survivors include his companion Gerrie Taylor of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Karl Daniels of N. Scituate, RI; daughters, Carleen (Paul) Durand of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Darlene Freeman of Riverside; brother, Anthony Vollaro of Barrington; three grandchildren, Katie Freeman, Kayla Freeman,and Michael Durand; 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife Etta Vollaro and brothers Frank and Al Vollaro.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 2401 SE Sidonia Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
